Dosage & Administration:

The duration of treatment varies according to the indication and severity of the infection. Use
of oral Terbinafine tablet in children above 2 years is well tolerated.

Adults:  250 mg once a day. Onychomycosis: For most patients, the duration of successful treatment is 6-12 weeks. Fingernail onychomycosis: 6 (Six) weeks of therapy is usually sufficient. Toenail onychomycosis: 12 (Twelve) weeks of therapy is sufficient in most cases. Some patients with poor nail outgrowth may require longer treatment. The optimal clinical effect is related to the period required for the outgrowth of healthy nail. For treatment of Tinea Pedis: 2-6 weeks. Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Cutaneous candidiasis: 2-4 weeks. Complete resolution of the signs and symptoms of infection may not occur until several weeks after mycological cure. Terfix cream can be applied once or twice daily (duration of treatment varies according to the indication and the severity of infections). Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly before application of Cream. Apply the cream to the affected skin and surrounding area in thin layer and rub in lightly. The likely durations of treatment are as follows: Tinea corporis, cruris 1 to 2 weeks, Tinea pedis 1 week, Cutaneous candidiasis 2 weeks, Pityriasis versicolor 2 weeks. The clinical signs typically disappear in a few days. Irregular use or premature discontinuation of treatment carries the risk of recurrence. After two weeks, the diagnosis should be confirmed if there are no improvements. Recommended duration of treatment in Hair and Scalp infections: Tinea capitis: 4 weeks
