Butamirate Citrate

Indications

 

Drycofix is used to relieve dry (non-productive) cough. Drycofix is also used
for pre & post-operative cough suppression in patient who undergoes surgical
procedures and bronchoscopy. It can be used in acute cough of any etiology,
whooping cough and cough due to acute lower respiratory tract infections
(tracheitis, laryngitis, bronchitis) etc

 

Dosage & Administration:

 

Tablet:

Adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 tablet twice daily; Maximum daily
dose: 2 tablets (100 mg); Adults: 1 tablet 3 times daily (at least 8 hours
between doses); Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets (150 mg).

Syrup:

Children: 3 to 6 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 3 times daily; 6 to 12 years: 10
ml (2 teaspoonful) 3 times daily; Adolescents: Over 12 years: 15 ml (3
teaspoonful) 3 times daily; Adults: 15 ml (3 teaspoonful) 4 times daily.

 

How supplied:

 

Drycofix SR Tablet: Each box contains 30 tablets (3×10’s) in Alu-Alu blister
pack.

Drycofix Syrup (100 ml) : Each box contains a PET bottle containing 100 ml
Syrup and a measuring cup.
